Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata faces a crucial end to the season.

The veteran striker has been linked with a summer departure from Madrid with transfer interest from Italy and Saudi Arabia.

The 31-year-old rejected the chance to leave Los Rojiblancos last summer as he wanted to compete at the highest level in Spain.

However, his form is a major concern, with just 20 goals and four assists in 44 appearances this season, and one goal in his last 17 matches.

Atletico Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Morata and the situation could impact his place in Spain’s Euro 2024 plans.

As captain, Luis de la Fuente will keep Morata in his squad, but reports from Mundo Deportivo hint his starting place could be under threat, despite scoring four goals in qualifying.

De la Fuente will be hoping Morata can find some momentum in the final weeks of the season ahead of pre-tournament friendlies against Andorra and Northern Ireland.
