On October 20th, 2001, the North Carolina Tar Heels hit the road down to Death Valley to take on the Clemson Tigers. The Heels got a 38-3 victory and legendary defensive lineman Julius Peppers was the star of the show. He registered 10.0 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, a sack, and a dazzling interception. Carolina quarterbacks Darian Durant and Ronald Curry each tossed a touchdown and running back Andre Williams rushed for 91 yards with a touchdown. UNC's defense held Clemson to 209 yards of offense.
